TV 101 Studio Summer Camps
TV101 STUDIO SUMMER CAMPS 2010

These Summer Camp classes will introduce youths from ages 12 to 18 to all aspects of television production. Join us for this exciting 2 week course to see what fun the world of television and visual storytelling can be! There is a lot of work involved in putting together a production, so you'll be an integral part of the team. Your show will only be as good as each crew member, so be prepared to bring your talents & creativity. These workshops are specially designed for young adults, and you don't need any experience to get started. 

TV 101 Studio Summer Camp 2010

         TV 101 is a 2 week (Mon-Fri, 8am-12pm) workshop for youths 12-18yrs of age. Studio Camp classes include instruction in producing, scriptwriting, teleprompter, and lighting, camera, set design, on-air talent, graphics, technical directing and editing. Learn the basics of studio TV production and create a one hour program that will air on Channel 10!

TV101 FIELD SUMMER CAMP 2010
TV 101 is a 2 week (Mon-Fri, 10am-3pm) workshop for youths 12-18yrs TV 101 is a 2 week (Mon-Fri, 8am-12pm) workshop for youths 12-18yrs of age.

Participants will get hands on training using the Panasonic DVX 100B field cameras and learn how to conceptualize a field project by working in teams of 2. In addition you will learn how to create a PSA, add lighting, audio elements, narrations, and music to your project. Join us and see how much fun it can be to gain the knowledge of how to conduct a site survey, composition of camera shots and script interviews. In Post production you will do Voiceovers and finally edit in Final cut Pro. Final student projects will air on our very own Channel 10.

(Book Included: The Bare Bones Camera Course for Film and Video)

Prerequisites: Orientation
Students will cover 10 sessions of 4 hours each day and completions of a class project.

WEBR RADIO SUMMER CAMP 2010

These Summer Camp classes will introduce youths from ages 12 to 18 to all aspects of Radio production. This camp provides a unique educational experience in the world of Radio. You can also listen online at www.fcac.org

In WEBR Radio Summer Camp the student groups write, produces, direct and edit Promos and a Radio show.  Class time is non-traditional (a mix of hands on workshops, in class discussions) devoted solely to troubleshooting the needs of each genre of Radio show. Students will know how a radio station works, hands on workshop devoted to the use of the Radio board, Scriptwriting for Radio News, develop a weather report for Radio, and write and produce commercials. Students will also learn how to interview their peers. In addition this Radio Camp will teach them the art of audio editing on Adobe Audition 3.0 Students will rotate and share key production roles as they complete these projects to creating their own Radio show which will be aired on Ch 37 and heard globally! WEBR radio camp fee includes a 1yr FPA membership*

Prerequisites: Orientation                                             

Students will cover 5 sessions of 4 hours each day & completion of a class project. Parents’ permission required for youths between 12-18 year olds. This is a 1- week Camp (Monday thru Friday) 9am -1pm.
