Outreach

In seeking to serve our community, FPA engages in a number of outreach initiatives designed to strengthen our ties within the community.  We value the work of other non-profit organizations, educational and governmental agencies, civic and community groups, and are willing to lend assistance to their efforts by offering a medium through which their message can reach the general public. 

There are several ways in which we achieve our outreach goals. 

For non-profit organizations interested in posting information, our Community Corner is the easiest, quickest way to get noticed.  The visual component to Radio Fairfax on Channel 37, the Community Corner airs a series of slides about local Fairfax County non-profits, including a short description, logo or photo, and contact information such as phone, website, address, etc.  We will create the slide – just email your organization’s information to Director of Programming Maryam Shah.  As the slide will run in perpetuity, we cannot accept information that is time sensitive or event-specific.

To air a video or radio public service announcement (PSA) that you currently have, contact Director of Programming Maryam Shah to ascertain the correct format and placement on one of our channels.  If you don’t currently have a PSA, and would like to inquire about having one created for you through Production Services, contact Director of Development Jerry Ferguson.
